When I found out the hubby was to be overseas for Mothers Day, I was really upset. I readied myself for a sucky sucky day. Prepared for tatrums and tears and all the other hard parts of flying solo. But to be honest my day was pretty awesome. For starters, the boys slept in til 7am (which they NEVER do) and then my lovely Mum came over from Rotorua, via my Grandma's house, with this lovely lady just for me!
Nettie has been sitting in the back of my Grandmas cupboard for the last 10 years, never used! And on hearing about my poor girl going out in a puff of smoke, she dug this lady out for me to have. She needs a good oil but after that, she'll be good to go!
My grandma is the BEST.
Not to mention that the boys have been angels all day long too.Which has got me thinking that the day is all about time spent together, enjoying and appreciating each other and not so much about the pampering really. It was lovely sitting around with my Mum and the boys, enjoying coffee and feijoa cake, and watching Finley make his Nanny a cute card.
