Dear cheeky boy, you celebrated your half-birthday over the weekend. I can't believe how fast the last 6 months has gone.
In the last month you have improved a little in your sleeping, most days having at least one 2 hour nap (out of his 3 sleeps a day), and most nights waking only once or twice. You've been weaned off your dummy, but you don't seem to care because you've found your fingers instead. We've been trying a little baby-led weaning (to accompany his slops), mainly with toast, broccoli and cauliflower and while you loves the toast and broccoli, the cauli got thrown in disgust! You have mastered sitting for short periods as well as wriggling backwards and around in circles to get to toys and it looks like just a matter of time and you will have figured out the commando-crawling thing. You really are attempting to get your knees under your little bottom which is really funny to watch, but pretty frustrating for you!
Your favourite things this month are: your jolly jumper, Finley's toy cars, the bath (you LOVE the bath), toast, eating paper (it's like crack for babies!!) and watching your big brother zoom around the place. We are looking forward to taking you for your first swim at the pools this month and getting you on the swing at the park again... and remembering the camera this time!
We are finally settling into life together little boy. Mum is starting to feel more alive again. xx
It's amazing how fast the time goes as you're watching a little one grow. So happy to hear that things are settling down for both you and Archer - YAY for better sleeping at night! :o)
ReplyDeleteIt took me a while to settle into life with both of my babies too. About 8 months the first time and well over a year with the seccond, so I think you're doing really well, and I commend your honesty!
ReplyDeleteThose eyes....so beautiful. THANK-YOU for the parcel...the hat is like you knitted especially for Oscar. It's fits him perfectly and the vest was such a wonderful surprise. It's just incredible. Thank-you so much. Your little boy is such a doll and I'm so pleased you are getting into a good routine..Spring is just around the corner too..xxx
