strawberries

looking for strawberries

strawberries!

All our neglect hard work looking after our strawberries over the winter has paid off and it looks like we are going to have loads this summer. That is if the birds and bugs don't get them first. Finley's been watching over them hawkeyed and so far has swooped and claimed 3 out of the 5 ripe ones we've had so far, but thats ok because they're for him mostly. At least he can say the word 'strawberry' this summer. It was getting a bit tedious explaining to people what 'bawtoo' was supposed to mean and repeating 'strawberry' to him to try and encourage him to click. Tedious but cute nevertheless.

  1. WOW! What a bumper crop it looks like you're going to have! We never plant enough - each year I add a few more, but still find myself 'topping' up from the supermarket! We've just had to put netting over ours as the birds got to our first red, ripe ones :(

Enjoy those sweet, delicious treats! Ah, summer's greatest gift :)

  2. Your plants all look so awesome and healthy! half of mine are going for gold, the other half, well, not so much. It's so cool having stuff the kids can eat straight of the garden ay?
